that is the dumbest reason to dropout of scool for, i mean, it is not like you are learning how to play the guitar so you can't really make a career off of guitar hero

Professional video gamers can make $100,000.00/year. If the kid is that persistent, he must have a calling. Maybe he will do something else with his life later on. As a parent, we cannot chose the life for a child. The child should be able to choose his own path. It looks like they are rich from the number of guitars he is holding.

One word: SPOILED.
Parents have EVERY right to tell a 16 year old what he can and can't do, so long as he lives in their house and sponges off their generousity. I'm not saying I have a problem with him pursuing a professional videogaming career, but he shouldn't have to drop out of high school.
If he wants to do that, then maybe he should move out on his own and try to pursue a gaming career. OH WAIT! He can't support himself because all he does is play Guitar Hero.

Life isn't defined by the power of one's career. It's defined by the career of one's power, and if he finds personal power from playing guitar hero, then he should pursue it.
