The smart pick, according to Nader, is Hillary Rodham Clinton. Nader phoned into Politico Tuesday afternoon to offer his prediction that a surprise nod to Clinton is actually what Obama has in store—never mind the talk of mistrust between the Clintons and Obama.
“He just has to swallow hard and do what JFK did” in picking rival Lyndon Johnson in 1960, said the liberal activist and maverick presidential candidate.
According to Nader’s logic, Obama may dislike Hillary, but will conclude he has no choice but to get over it if he hopes to leave next week’s convention in Denver with a unified party and a decent shot against John McCain in the fall: “The polls show 25 percent of her supporters have not gotten on board.”

as an aside:
this paralells when JFK picked LBJ in another way.Hillary Clinton made a gaffe out of remarks speculating about the possibility of Obama being assassinated as the reason she was still in the race.
If he does get assassinated, and she is behind it, she'll get away scott-free.
Who would have the balls to accuse her?
They'd be lambasted. -
She will be the V.P. What other way could you make the convention larger than it is going to be...When Bill Clinton takes the stage he will along with Obama present her as his VP pick...110% A union has to be made...The question is would she have picked him vise versa?

That's who I think it'll be.
Edwards and Biden are out.
It wont be Richardson or Kucinich because they don't bring anything new to the table.
Any other woman would piss off all the Hillary supporters.
So who else could it be? -
Hillary as VP for 8 years, then P for 8 more. We'll have 16 years of HIllary.
Then that movie Pluto Nash will come true and Hillary's picture will be on the new $1000 dollar bills after hyperinflation hits and corporations have taken to colonizing the moon; beating out nation states on the new land rush.

I think Sixteen years of no Republican control in Washington will serve them right for everything they have done since Nixon. In fact, I hope that Democrats take a greater majority in the Senate and that they get to appoint judges for the next 32 years. Because that is how long it may take before Thomas, Alito, Scalia, and Roberts to be replaced....if they aren't impeached before then.
GWB rails against activist judges, while he himself appoints activist judge after activist judge. He is always the pot calling the kettle black.

If only. How else is he going to win. Some polls are showing McCain ahead...........we cannot let that happen.
I am not an Obama fan yet he is far better than McCain.

Every one could still vote for Nader, then no one gets killed.
Just putting the third option out there.

The only way Obama can win the popular vote is with Hillary as VP.

I wonder just how important the latin vote is. There's still Bill Richardson whom I'm not exactly fond of...but since we're throwing names around =P
