"The area to which you are planning to sail is the subject of an (Israeli Navy) advisory notice which warns all foreign vessels to remain clear of the designated maritime zone," the Israeli foreign ministry said in an open letter to the participants of the Free Gaza Movement's campaign.
Two Greek boats carrying 40 peace activists from different countries are sailing towards the Gaza Strip to deliver humanitarian and medical supplies to Palestinians.
They have sailed on August 13 from the Greek island of Crete for Cyprus and are supposed to approach the coastal enclave in the second half of this week.
Among the organizers is Yvonne Ridley, the Press TV presenter and political analyst, Lauren Booth, the sister-in-law of the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and Hedy Epstein an 82-year-old Holocaust survivor.
"Israel's deplorable track record of delivering supplies is, in fact, the very reason for our mission," the group said in an earlier letter to the ministry.
The populated coastal region has been under an Israeli siege for the past year. The regime ordered a full-scale blockade of the enclave, preventing all fuel, food, medicine and humanitarian shipments from entering the territory.
They will also deliver hearing aids for children who have lost some or all of their hearing from Israeli sound bombs and sonic booms, the group was quoted by AFP as saying on Tuesday.
-----------------
I wish Israel would make up its mind. I know nothing is going to stop a peace activist from peacefully carrying out a mission, especially if its going to help people that have been denied basic living supplies, including medical life saving items. Little by little, Israel is purposely eliminating a people from the planet mostly because Israel wants all the land for themselves.
Oh, Israel, Israel...why have you gone against the will of God...your time to repent is now. Open up your walls to let the innocent Palestinian people breathe and live. God has watched you and God will judge you, Oh Israel.

UPDATE:
Wednesday, August 20, 2008At 8:30 am Cyprus time, the Free Gaza and the Liberty rounded the last corner
of this lovely island, escorted by the Cypriot Coast Guard, and pulled into on
the Northern side of the commercial port in Larnaca.“We’ve been waiting a long time to unify our group, which has been split
between Cyprus and Crete. We are excited to combine both groups who have worked
so hard on this project and are so enthusiastic about setting out for Gaza. On
the way in today, we had the Cypriot authorities escorting us. Now, it’s time
for the world to escort us to Gaza.” Said Paul Larudee, one of the
organizers. After a thorough inspection of both boats, the port authority will let the 20
passengers from Cyprus on board to make final preparations, including a
memorial service for the more than 5000 Palestinians who have lost their lives
since September 2000 as well as the 34 sailors aboard the USS Liberty who were
assassinated by Israel in 1967. They, like the Palestinians, will not be
forgotten. That service should be on Thursday, August 21 just before the boats
begin their final journey to Gaza.“It was exhilarating to watch the boats come in after waiting so patiently
over the past two weeks. Seeing the sail on the Free Gaza followed to port by
the Liberty has been worth the wait. Now we will get the boats ready to sail to
Gaza, because that is our final destination. We are looking forward to going as
soon as possible. ” Said a delighted Fathi Jaouadi, one of the passengers on
board. The boats will be in port for the next two days for media to photograph. The
human rights workers on board will also be available for interviews.-

As I've said before, barring no more "delays", I wish them a safe and smooth sail.
May there be no media blackouts so we can all know how things are going. -
I wish them a safe and smooth sail as well - bless the peace activists for "doing something".
-
we don't need to repent on anything
thanks-
