Scott Harrison, a former club promoter turned philanthropist, founded a charity called Charity whose mission is to provide clean water to the world's poor one bottle at a time.

  • i saw this today... but my nephew changed the channel before i could finish it... either way... would anyone know what it would cost to just up and leave to liberia? or any other country where i can volunteer like this?

    i looked it up online and there are many organizations that have different pricing... but if anyone who has actually been there can give me more info... i would greatly appreciate it... thanks :-)

  • Volunteering in other countries is pretty easy. Through schools is usually the easiest way to get info and find programs that are safe. On that note, remember that the world is a lot different (culturally) out there. There are several places out there that are dangerous, but if you can do it, it''s worth it.

    If you are looking for a break from school take off for six months to a year and volunteer.
