    • Janet Jackson launches Pleasure Principle lingerie

Janet Jackson is set to launch her first clothing line in the form of lingerie. Her Pleasure Principle lingerie line is set to be in stores in early 2009 and was co-designed with Australian lingerie designer Bruno Schiavi. According to Sandra Rose, Janet specifically designed the lingerie line to be comfortable for all sizes of females especially for plus sized women.

“I hate when you’ve had on a bra all day long and you just can’t wait to take it off — every woman has experienced that,” Janet stated. “A lot of lingerie tends to leave those marks and be uncomfortable. This line is about detail, fit and comfort as well as beauty and making women feel sexy.”

Although Janet is known for her extravagant taste, Pleasure Principle will be affordable with a $40 price tag range. No word yet on where the line will be available when it hits stores the first quarter of 2009. Janet is also busy gearing up for her reality MTV show where she will be acting as a mentor in a contest to find the next music superstar.

    • The Big "O" - Obama's unofficial salute

Apparently this is an unofficial salute from a Los Angeles based design company. Nonetheless an interesting article on the youth and their support and the controversies they create.

"I do find it troubling that we are inventing specific salutes for people who are seeking the highest office in our land. The danger is that people will feel loyalty to the man and not to the office, or the people whom he is supposed to serve... the citizenry. The danger is that people will feel that the person can do whatever he wants, despite any Constitutional shackles that are supposed to be in place."

It seems weird and a little creepy to me that the "Obama youth" want a salute to man who has yet to do anything in office. I'm not saying he's a dictator or anything. Its just seems cult like to me. Also i cant help but think it looks like your making an asshole. Or as many people online say "Goatse". What is a "goatse" you ask? Look it up if you dare. • Can I have my Picassos back? Heirs want New York museums to return paintings

The heirs of German-Jewish banker Paul von Mendelssohn-Bartholdy are demanding that New York's most important museums, the MoMA and Guggenheim, return two Picassos. Now the museums are fighting back claiming that they are now the rightful owners.

Until 1935, Jewish banker Paul von Mendelssohn-Bartholdy owned several paintings by Pablo Picasso. Now, Julius Schoeps, 66, and 26 other heirs would like to see the art works returned to them.

Last autumn his lawyer Byrne asked the MoMa to hand over "Boy Leading a Horse" and made a request to the Guggenheim Museum to return the oil painting "Le Moulin de la Galette." No museum director would ever sell these works, and it is really impossible to put a value on them, although Byrne has estimated that each painting is worth $200 million (£134 million).

The fight for the painting began five years ago, when an art historian told Schoeps that his great uncle used to own a spectacular art collection. Schoeps did not realize it and neither did anyone in his family. It was the first time that Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's descendents had heard that he had once owned five Picassos.

Schoeps did some research and found out that Meldessohn-Bartholdy had sold the pictures to an American collector after Adolf Hitler had become chancellor and his assets as a Jewish banker had decreased rapidly. He also claims that the sale was part of a typical "persecution agreement" which were used to keep works of art out of the grasp of the Nazi regime. However, the question of whether Mendelssohn-Bartholdy sold under pressure from the Nazis is one that has since become the focus of a bitter dispute.

Instead of discussing the issue with the heirs or their lawyer, both of the New York museums promptly rejected the claims and filed for declatory relief at the end of last year. Their lawyers are now requesting that the United States District Court in New York declare the museums the paintings' rightful owners. The lawyers are currently taking depositions from witnesses and in the autumn the official hearing will begin.

    • World's largest record collection for sale - $3 million

this man is selling his records which includes more than 6 million songs on 3 million records and 300,000 compact discs. If you were to buy the whole thing on iTunes by the song -- not that you'd be able to find all of them -- the collection would run you $5,940,000 (in that sense, $3 million is a bargain). Amongst his collection, he owns the first record made, from 1881. The library of congress did a study on his collection, and came with the result that from 1948 - 1966, on;y about 17% of his records are available to the public even on cd. this man is selling his records which includes more than 6 million songs on 3 million records and 300,000 compact discs.
